Lyme Disease Antibodies (IgG, IgM)

Lyme borreliosis is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. In the majority of cases, it can be treated and but does progress to the chronic stage with severe, long-term effects occurring in up to 10% of untreated individuals. The presence of the antibody against Borrelia burgdorfer iindicates prior or current exposure to or infection with this bacterium.
