Specialty test – 2 hour OGTT with Insulin

A 2-hour Oral Glucose Tolerance Test requires repeated testing over 2 hours at the lab. You will be given a 75 gram oral glucose solution to drink and then your glucose and insulin levels are checked at both 1 hour and 2 hours post glucose ingestion. The test is considered the gold standard in diagnosing early diabetes.
